How to use this table

Each row is one burst detected by CHIME. A burst made of several parts, called sub-bursts, has a row for each part.

  • Sort the table

    Click a column name to sort by it. Click it again to reverse the order. The arrow beside the name shows the current order.

  • Find out what a column means

    Point at or tap the information button beside a column name. Every column is also explained in the glossary.

  • See one burst in detail

    Click a burst name to open its own page, with all of its measurements and plots.

  • Search

    Type a burst name, such as FRB 20180725A, or the name of a repeating source, then press Search. To see every burst again, clear the box and press Search.

  • Repeat and one-off bursts

    Some sources have been seen to burst more than once. Use the buttons above the table to show only repeat bursts or only one-off bursts.

  • Choose which columns to show

    Click Columns, tick the ones you want, then press Apply. “Back to the default columns” restores the original set.

  • Move around

    Scroll sideways to see more columns; the burst name stays in place. Use the page numbers below the table to see more rows.

  • Dashes and limits

    A dash (—) means there is no value for that burst. A “<” before a number means the true value is below it.
